"Good Health is Always in Season"

Monday, October 31
We would like to cordially invite you to our county-wide "I'm Aware" Youth Empowerment Workshop, a culminating Red Ribbon Week event, to be held at Chipola College from 9:00am until 12:00pm October 31st for Jackson, Liberty and Washington Counties 9th and 10th grade students. This event is sponsored by the Panhandle Area Drug and Alcohol Abuse Prevention Coalition, Inc. and many community partners which are composed of local county health departments, community based organizations, and local area school boards.  The principal goals of the event are to provide impressionable youths with tools to make the "right" choices and avoid risky behaviors that may involve tobacco, alcohol, and drugs; that choices they make today may impact their lives later; and thirdly that their choices may also have an impact on others.  Please preview the attached document (1.02kb html doc) for more information on our guest speaker. Additionally, vendors including Florida Council on Compulsive Gambling, Inc., Smokifier Van Unit, Students Against Destructive Decisions (S.A.D.D.), SWAT (Jackson, Liberty, Washington), Florida Hwy. Patrol, and many more will be providing displays for educational and promotional services.  For more information on event activities, please contact Latresha Pittman, Committee Chairperson at 850-526-2412 ext 157, or any committee member on the attached member list (66.00kb doc).
Thank you!!
See you there ....
