The
Family Planning program
(9.90mb pdf doc) at Jackson County Health Department is a federally funded program open to women of childbearing age and their partners.
The program does not include women who have had a tubal ligation or
hysterectomy.
Services are provided on a sliding fee scale (cost, if any, is determined by client's income and family size) and include annual physicals, birth control methods and supply, including tubal ligation and vasectomy
referral, management of abnormal pap smears, Sexually Transmitted Disease evaluation and treatment, and episodic problem visits.
Appointments are scheduled Monday through Friday and exams are done by an ARNP at the Marianna Clinic.
Same day appointments are usually available.
There is a large emphasis placed on counseling and education. Clients are encouraged to participate in their own care by asking questions. |
